Anxiety and Depression, Introduced

Anxiety and depression can result from things visible such as relationship and employment problems and causes less obvious. Even something so “small” as the common cold can, on top of other stressors, strongly impact mood. How many of us are aware that a monthly hormone cycle, with its impact on mood, affects men as well as women?

As with anxiety and depression bipolarity, also referred to as manic-depressive disorder, may be greatly impacted by environmental factors such as stress in the relationship or even the onset of a cold. Even changes in season, from summer to winter, for example, may trigger a switch from one pole to its opposite. And while there is no known “cure” for chronic anxiety, depression or bipolarity, their severity can be reduced, even managed, through counseling, psychotherapy, and medication.
